Even his name means “silversmith.”

Award-winning artist, Don Platero ("Platero" means "silversmith" in Spanish) started smithing at the age of ten and earned the first of his many awards starting in highschool.  He is known for his intricate craftsmanship of silver jewelry, dinnerware, server sets, wedding sets, and unique custom creations such as chopsticks.

Double D Ranch is pleased to offer this two-piece server set consisting of a large serving fork and spoon.  Each is an incredible example of his fine craftsmanship and design.

Don Platero (1954-; Navajo). Cast work; letter openers; flatware.  First prize for flatware at the 1996 Inter-tribal Indian Ceremonial. Son of Dan Platero.

Marks: DON M. PLATERO; Don Platero (with or without NAVAJO, in at least two script versions)
